Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa in Rotorua isn’t your usual spa. From thermal pools, a geothermal mud lounge, massage, facials and more, owned and curated by local iwi, Ngāti Whakaue, visitors are invited to go on a restorative journey and experience traditional practices and manaakitanga (caring for people and community).
Wai Ariki’s point of difference is they’re a luxury bathing experience and wellness centre rooted in Ngāti Whakaue healing practises such as mud bathing and mirimiri. They’re not a standard bathe-as-you-feel hot pools, and it’s our job to showcase just how unique their offering is to local and international visitors.
